I've been blogging since February 2006 on mostly Wordpress platforms.   For almost five years I covered family travel topics on the BootsnAll Family Travel Logue, but I finally stepped away from that in December 2010. It was a great run; the blog was highlighted by TripBase as a 2009 Top 10 family travel blog, in the March 2008 issue of Real Simple magazine as one of three "best travel blogs," in the UK's Guardian newspaper as a "Best of the Net" blog and in the UK's Telegraph newspaper as one of the "world's best travel blogs."   Where I am now....  The Perceptive Travel Blog:   Travel writing deserves more than gushy hotel and restaurant reviews, or lists of "Top 10 Must-See" quickie round-up articles. On the Perceptive Travel blog, an offshoot of the imaginative Perceptive Travel webzine, I enjoy writing about everything from Tokyo to Alabama along with fellow writers Liz Lewis (based in New Zealand) Alison Stein Wellner (based in Manhattan) and Brian Spencer (based in Brooklyn.)
