I learned about this from the #tourismcollege hashtag stream on Twitter (that’s why Twitter is great for professional development!)
Below are two screenshots of the Facebook Page for the Forty Putney Road bed and breakfast in Brattleboro, Vermont.
The “before Like-ing” photo very cleverly hints at the delights awaiting future fans/friends of the B&B.
The “after Like-ing” shot reveals some of the goodies found after clicking the Like button.
Here’s the inn’s Facebook Page if you want to see for yourself.
Nice work!

I love that B&B – I believe Tim Brady (one of the owners) does all the online work himself. Having highlighted them several times of the past few years, I think they are a great all-around example of what a small lodging biz can DIY and do it well.
Thanks, Lara, did not know that. Glad I unwittingly highlighted one of your Vermont favorites!
Hi Sheila, thanks so much for the props! Lara is right, we do all of our own web and social media stuff. It’s a great way to keep in touch with our guests and to attract new ones. We are flattered to be showcased in your blog… We hope that you will come visit us some time if you are ever in Brattleboro!
Cheers and thanks again,
Tim and Amy
Thanks Tim and Amy – I’m so impressed that you do all that yourselves! Mad props to you….
I know this will somehow give me an idea on how I should have a fabulous fantastic landing page. It seems that everyone would gonna like it and try this one.
